29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Training. Employee training shall include at least: The measures employees can take to protect themselves from these hazards, including specific procedures the employer has implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used; a) On or about July 31, 2018, employees handling Magnesium Powder had not been trained on the methods and procedures to be utilized to minimize ignition source hazards of transporting, weighing, and dispensing into the 17 cubic foot Mixer. b) On or about July 31, 2018, employees dispensing Magnesium Powder into the 17 cubic foot Mixer had not been trained on the methods and procedures to be utilized to inert the 17 cubic foot Mixer and prevent Magnesium Powder from being stirred up and rising above the inerting atmosphere level. c) On or about July 31, 2018, employees handling Magnesium Powder and working near where Magnesium Powder is handled had not been trained on the methods to be utilized for a clothing fire involving Magnesium Powder.
