29 CFR 1926.1101(f)(1)(i): Each employer who has a workplace or work operation where exposure monitoring is required under this section shall perform monitoring to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which employees may be exposed. The controlling employer did not ensure air monitoring was performed when Class II work was conducted to determine airborne concentrations in that on June 14, 2018, subcontractor employees removed asbestos-containing shingles from a residential roof. Bulk sampling results revealed the roof tile contained 10.38% chrysotile asbestos and the mastic contained 14.25% chrysotile asbestos.
