29 CFR 1926.1404(f)(1): When pins (or similar devices) are being removed, employees must not be under the boom, jib, or other components, except where the requirements of paragraph (f)(2) of this section are met: On April 11, 2017, employees were exposed to a collapsing section of lattice boom attached to an American 5530 truck crane. An employee was removing the lattice boom link pins while under the boom of the crane.
