29 CFR 1910.184(e)(2)(i): Hooks, rings, oblong links, pear shaped links, welded or mechanical coupling links or other attachments did not have a rated capacity at least equal to that of the alloy steel chain with which they were used or the sling was used in excess of the rated capacity of the weakest component: Q2, Reclaim Platform: On, or about, July 1, 2016, a bolt was used to secure the lower end of a single leg sling around the shackle provided on the bag lifting frame. The bolt had a rated capacity that was calculated to be approximately 55% of the rated capacity of the chain.
