Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001C Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.1200(j)(2)(ii): Employees were not provided effective information on hazardous chemicals in their work area in accordance with the update to the hazard communication program required by paragraph (h)(1) and (h)(3): The employer is failing to protect employees from chemical hazards while engaging in maintenance activities. This was most recently documented at 6200 South Ridge Road, Wichita, Kansas, where employees using hazardous chemicals, including but not limited to: WD-40, Copper Coat pipe dope, Poly Vinyl Chloride glue, and cutting oil, were exposed to dermal and respiratory hazards due to the employer's written hazard communication program not being updated in accordance with the revised hazard communication standard.
