29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe condition(s) and the regulation(s) applicable to his work environment to control or eliminate any hazard(s) or other exposure to illness or injury. On or about September 25 ,2015, an employee working from an aerial lift to remove a chimney from an apartment building was exposed to a fall hazard and the employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions, such as working from elevated aerial platforms without fall protection. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
