29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(ii): Prior to permitting an employee to operate a powered industrial truck (except for training purposes), the employer did not ensure that each operator had successfully completed the training. At the time of the inspection, the employer did not ensure their employees had successfully completed training prior to operating powered industrial trucks. The maintenance lead and three maintenance employees operated powered industrial trucks without successfully completing the required training.
