29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: A.) On or about Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at Terminal 8 (JFK Airport) Jamaica, NY 11430 The employer failed to provide employees that are required to use hazardous cleaning products such as but not limited too; Clean on the Go NABC Concentrate (Corrosive) and Tribase Multi Purpose Cleaner to clean airport terminal restrooms and aircraft cabin surfaces contaminated with blood and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) protective eye protection exposing employees to hazards associated with chemical splashes and particles lodged into eyes. ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19
