29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE): a/ MLTK, LLC ShopRite Store #110/Hylan Blvd. Staten Island NY: Shop Home Department. The employers documented Hazard Assessment dated 12/26/2012 for personal protective equipment did not include the Shop Home Department. Equipment to include but not limited to visible vests. Employees are required to cross a high traffic street to access an outdoor (ShopRite) storage area and to assist customers with their purchased grocery orders. Product including but not limited to bottled water, soda, cooking oil, fruit and a Halloween display. Observed on/or about 10/6/2013.
