29 CFR 1910.107(e)(9): 29 CFR 1910.107(e)(9): Flammable or combustible liquids for use in spraying operations were transferred from one container to another without both containers being effectively bonded and grounded to prevent discharge sparks of static electricity: a) Flammable wash booth - A 55 gallon drum of EXXSOL D60 Fluid, a class III combustible solvent (dearomatized hydrocarbons), was not electrically grounded. On or about 6/27/13. b) Flammable wash booth - When dispensing EXXSOL D60 Fluid, a class III combustible solvent (dearomatized hydrocarbons) from a 55 gallon drum into a five gallon bucket for use, the two containers were not electrically connected (bonded). On or about 6/27/13. NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
