29 CFR 1910.95(g)(1): The employer did not establish and maintain an audiometric testing program as provided by 29 CFR 1910.95(g) by making audiometric testing available to all employees whose exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average of 85 decibels: a) Henry RAC Holding Corporation, 59 East 1st Street, Bayonne, NJ 07002 Employees operating the gun barrel drilling, rifle range, and barrel polishing operations were exposed to continuous noise at 75.3%, 162.2%, and 171.5% of the permissible exposure limit (PEL) eight hour time-weighted average sound level of 90 dBA which are 0.75, 1.62, and 1.72 times the allowable exposure limit. The action level is 85 dBA. The equivalent sound levels of the measured doses are 88.0 dBA, 93.5 dBA, and 93.9 dBA, respectively. Sampling was performed for 488 minutes, 495 minutes, and 469 minutes on 12/14/2012, with the un-sampled portion of time considered to represent zero exposure for the exposure calculation. Dosimeter threshold levels were set at 80 dBA. Conditions noted on or about 12/14/2012.
