Section 5(a)(1) of Public Law 91-596, the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to being struck by falling propane tanks. (a)Service Truck - On or about February 20, 2008 employees were exposed to a struck by hazard from falling 150 to 250 gallon propane tanks. Employees were not provided training on the operation recommendations contained in Iowa Mold Tooling Operation, Maintenance and Repair Manual. Among other methods, one feasible and acceptable method to abate this hazard is to: Provide training as recommended in the Iowa Mold Tooling Operation, Maintenance and Repair Manual, Figure A1-18.
