29 CFR 1910.305(a)(2)(x): Flexible cords and cables were not protected from accidental damage, as might be caused, for example, by sharp corners, projections, and doorways or other pinch points. a. Machine Shop: The conduit was pulled away from one of the electrical boxes for the Yamazaki Lathe, exposing insulated conductors. Employee were exposed to electrical hazards. b. Structural Shop: Flexible cord which connected the wall mounted panel boxes to power was run through a cut out in the corrugated metal wall. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards. c. Paint Booth: Flexible cord, not protected from damage, which powered the spider box used as the temporary power source for the paint booth, was run for great lengths, over a pile of accumulated shop trash, connected to an electrical panel in another building. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards.
