29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each affected employee used appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation. (a) Excavation jobsite; On or about April 15, 2025, and dates prior, employee(s) who operated a Stihl brand model TS-700 gas powered 14-inch cutoff saw to cut material, including but not limited to, reinforced concrete pipe, ductile iron, plastic pipe, etc., were not provided with equipment that protected the face from flying debris and/or other hazards associated with the close proximity to handheld powered equipment use.
