Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2):The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury: a) On or about February 4, 2025, at a worksite located at 1776 K Street NW, Washington DC; the employer had not trained employees on the hazards associated with or methods to mitigate those hazards that an operator is exposed to while operating vehicles/machinery such as MEC Micro 26 AC scissor lift across 6 lanes of traffic. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet), in addition, documentation demonstrating the abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include but is not limited to evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
