29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2): The employer did not ensure that hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces were corrected or repaired before an employee used the walking-working surface again; and/or the employer did not ensure that if the correction or repair cannot be made immediately, the hazard was guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard was corrected or repaired. (a) Quick Lane Pit; On or about January 30, 2025, and dates prior, after discovering a step of the staircase for a work platform was breaking apart from the frame, the employer did not prevent employees from using the staircase until a repair of the step was completed.
