29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3): Scaffolds and scaffold components shall be inspected for visible defects by a competent person before each work shift, and after any occurrence which could affect a scaffold's structural integrity. On or about December 22, 2024, at location 605 N Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin: the employer failed to ensure that the Saflock Systems Scaffold was inspected for defects following its assembly, exposing the second shift employees to fall hazards exceeding 12 feet. Fincantieri Marine Group, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.451(f)(3), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1759523, citation number 1, item number 1-b and was affirmed as a final order on October, 2, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 605 N Third Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
