29 CFR 1910.217(e)(1)(i):A program of periodic and regular inspections of mechanical power press(es) was not established and followed to ensure that all parts, auxiliary equipment and safeguards were in a safe operating condition and adjustment: a.) Viking Tool & Gage, Inc. 11210 State Highway 18 Conneaut Lake, PA 16316: on or about 12-05-2024, and times prior thereto: The periodic and regular inspections of the Bliss 60-ton press machine #PN21 did not verify the Keyence GL-R4OH-T light curtain was working properly to de-energize the press. The light curtain did not shut the 60-ton press down in the event of an employee breaking the plane to access the point of operation. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
