29 CFR 1910.28(b)(11)(i): Each employee exposed to an unprotected side or edge of a stairway landing that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected by a guardrail or stair rail system: On or about August 26, 2024, at a facility located at 1101 Mill Street in Niagara, WI; employees exposed to a fall of greater than 4 feet to the lower level were not protected by a guardrail or stair rail system at the unprotected edge of the #3 Generator's Aisle bearing stairway landing. One side of the railing was not equipped with a top-rail or midrail and exposed employees to a fall of approximately 7 feet to the bottom the pit around the generator.
