29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1): The employer did not provide training to each employee who is required by this section to use personal protective equipment: a) Alloy Wheel Specialists, d/b/a Wheel Collision Center - located at 231 Moorestown Dr., Bath, PA - On or about September 17, 2024, an employee was stripping wheel grime from rims in a dip tank full of hot Kolene Recover 5000 Stripper which required PPE to protect the employee's arms, chest, and legs from hot chemical burns. The employer did not train employees on the use of PPE and what personal protective equipment was necessary to protect them during this work, nor on how to properly use the equipment. Advanced Machine Systems, d/b/a Wheel Collision Center, was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.132(f)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1580496, citation number 1, item number 2c, and was affirmed as a final order on June 30, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 231 Moorestown Dr., Bath, PA. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photograph or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
