29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i)(B):The periodic inspection shall be conducted to correct any deviations or inadequacies identified. On or about July 23, 2024, the employer did not ensure the periodic inspection of the energy control procedure for the pail line turnover #2 machine, also known as the turnover 11.25 spin flange machine, was conducted to correct any inadequacies in the procedure. The employer's energy control procedure for the turnover #2 machine was inadequate in that it did not identify the specific location for isolating and securing the machine's electrical energy source, steps to block, secure, or release the machine's stored pneumatic energy source, or identify the specific steps for testing to determine and verify the effectiveness of the lockout devices and energy control measures.
