29 CFR 1926.600(a)(6)(iv):Where it was difficult for the operator to maintain minimum required clearance by visual means, a person was not designated to observe clearance between equipment and energized power lines, and give timely warning for all operations: (a) Juniata River Trail, Lewistown, PA; behind Juniata Concrete at 2 Silversand Ave, Lewistown, PA 17044 - On or about July 2, 2024, the employer did not designate a person to observe clearance between the dump truck and the overhead power lines to be able to provide a timely warning against contact with overhead energized electrical transmission lines carrying 46,000 volts. Employees were exposed to electrical hazards. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
