29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): Eye and face protective equipment was not used when machines or operations presented potential eye or face injury: On or about May 8, 2024, an employee was using a pneumatic air gun to install roofing material and the employer did not ensure safety glasses were worn by the employee. VANTES GENERAL CONTRACTOR INC. WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD OR ITS EQUIVALENT STANDARD 29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 1522859, CITATION NUMBER 1, ITEM NUMBER 2b AND AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON JULY 15, 2021, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 618 DRAKE LANE, WASHINGTON, ILLINOIS 61571.
