29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(8): Ladders placed in a location where they could be displaced by workplace activities or traffic, such as in passageways, doorways, or driveways, were not secured to prevent accidental displacement, nor was a barricade used to keep the activities or traffic away from the ladder. a) Worksite, 628 Meadow Road, Kings Park, NY 11754 - Employees on site were utilizing a 32-foot extension ladder setup in the sub level driveway of a 2-story residential private dwelling. The ladder was set up in the driveway of the home and on unstable ground that was covered with loose debris, sand, and bricks; on or about February 29, 2024. Note: The employer is required to submit abatement certification for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
