29 CFR 1926.451(c)(1)(i): Guys, ties, and braces were not installed at locations where horizontal members support both inner and outer legs. a) On or about Dec 13, 2023, the University of the Virgin Islands-Medical School, St Thomas, VI 00802-Exterior-facing University Library-Working levels of the tubular welded frame scaffolding system did not have all braces as designed by the manufacturer, exposing employees to a fall from a scaffold. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item, as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
