29 CFR 1926.502(d)(17): The attachment point of the body belt shall be located in the center of the wearer's back. The attachment point of the body harness shall be located in the center of the wearer's back near shoulder level, or above the wearer's head. On or about December 11, 2023, an employee performing construction activities at heights exceeding six (6) feet was wearing a personal fall arrest harness where the attachment point was not located in the center of the wearer's back, exposing the employee to a fall of approximately 10 feet. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
