29 CFR 1910.178(l)(6): The employer did not certify that each operator has been trained and evaluated as required by this paragraph (l): (a) On or before 12/1/2023, the employer did not certify that all operators of powered industrial vehicles were trained and evaluated in accordance with this standard. Employees operate powered equipment including but not limited to Yale walk-behind electric forklifts as well as Yale electric pallet jacks. This condition exposed employees to struck-by and falling object hazards. Trader Joe's East Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(6), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1670362, citation number 1, item number 1c, and was affirmed as a final order on 10/23/2023, with respect to a workplace located at 87 Marginal Way Portland, ME 04101.
