29 CFR 1910.178(l)(6): The employer did not certify that each operator has been trained and evaluated as required by this paragraph (l): (a)Protective Coating Specialists, Inc. at 1350 7th Street Northwest, Huron, SD 57350: On or about and at times prior to November 21, 2023, the employer did not ensure that each operator had been trained and evaluated as required by paragraph (l) through certification of the completion of forklift training prior to use. This condition exposed employees to the hazard of unsafe forklift operation. Abatement Note: Training shall consist of a combination of formal instruction, practical training, and evaluation of the operator's performance in the workplace.
