Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish to each employee a place of employment which was free from a recognized crushed-by hazard that was causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a) On or about September 19, 2023, employees were not protected from a crushed-by hazard in that a spreader bar lifting device was not marked with the weight of the device, its rated load, and other required information, so employees were unable to determine if the loads being lifted were within the limits of all the lifting components.
