Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.26(a): The employer did not ensure that dock boards were capable of supporting the maximum intended load in accordance with 1910.22(b): (a)American Engineered Products, LLC at 605 4th Street Southeast, De Smet, SD 57231: On or about and at times prior to May 10, 2023, the employer did not ensure that a thin sheet of plywood between a semi-trailer and the edge of the dock was sufficient to support the weight of employees and equipment. Employees accessed the trailer by stepping on the sheet of plywood to retrieve equipment used daily in the powder coating area. This condition exposed employees to fall hazards.
