29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1):Protective eye and face equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: CSW, Inc. - Sylvania, Ohio: On or about May 2, 2023, the employer did not ensure that employees who used chemicals such as, but not limited to, butanone, methyl isobutyl ketone, cyclohexanone, diisopropylbenzene, polyurethane methacrylate oligomer, methacrylic esters, anionic surfactant, isopropanol, and heptanes, wore the proper eye protection to protect against chemical splashes to the eyes. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence, or written records.
