29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. At an establishment located at 805 Ogden Street in Marinette, Wisconsin: On or about April 27, 2023, the employer did not conduct an annual periodic inspection of the energy control procedure for the Off Line #1 Trim Press. Employees were exposed to machine hazards associated with the energized robot, press, and discharge conveyor, and unexpected start-up or release of energy sources due to the lack of periodic inspections to identify any deviations or inadequacies for correction.
