29 CFR 1926.502(a)(2): Employers shall provide and install all fall protection systems required by this subpart for an employee, and shall comply with all other pertinent requirements of this subpart before that employee begins the work that necessitates the fall protection. a) At the facility, 199 Pomeroy Road, Parsippany, NJ, 07054 - Roof On or about April 19, 2023, employees engaged in the installation of a solar panel system were snapping perimeter lines 4-feet from leading edge of flat roof on commercial building without installing a means of fall protection, which includes, but is not limited to a guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems prior to the start of work, exposing employees to a 36-foot fall hazard.
