29 CFR 1926.451(b)(10): Scaffold components manufactured by different manufacturers shall not be intermixed unless the components fit together without force and the scaffold's structural integrity is maintained by the user. Scaffold components manufactured by different manufacturers shall not be modified in order to intermix them unless a competent person determines the resulting scaffold is structurally sound. (a) On or about 2/15/2023, Orville E. Kean Campus, Charlotte Amalie, VI 00802 - Scaffold components manufactured by different manufacturers that did not fit together without force were being intermixed without maintaining the scaffolds' structural integrity, exposing employees to a fall hazard. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item, as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
