29 CFR 1926.452(n)(3):29 CFR 1926.452(n)(3): Ladders used to support step, platform, and trestle ladder scaffolds were not placed, fastened, or equipped with devices to prevent slipping. a) 1081 Swan River Rd, Bigfork, MT: On or about January 5, 2023, and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 8 feet to the concrete ground below while prepping the exterior of a residential home for the installation of wooden trusses. The employer constructed a homemade scaffold platform that was supported by an A-frame ladder and wooden brace without devices to prevent the scaffold from slipping off the supports.
