29 CFR 1926.451(g)(4)(i): Guardrail systems shall be installed along all open sides and ends of platforms. Guardrail systems shall be installed before the scaffold is released for use by employees other than erection/dismantling crews. a) On or about October 3, 2022, employees were observed working from scaffolding during the construction of a commercial building located at 3901 Pearl Road, Medina, Ohio 44256; the employer did not ensure employees were protected from a fall hazard of approximately 14 feet by installing a guardrail system along all open sides and ends of platforms.
