29 CFR 1926.501(b)(2)(i):Each employee who was constructing a leading edge 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems:Note: If the employer could demonstrate that it was infeasible or created a greater hazard to use these systems, a fall protection plan meeting the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502 should have been developed and implemented. a) Alvada/ACI Construction Company INC on or about August 23, 2022, at the address of 1835 East 4th Street, Lima, OH: The employer failed to ensure employees were protected from falls while performing leading edge sheeting activities atop a wood framed commercial structure. Employees operating in this condition were exposed to a 17 ft. fall to the ground below while performing this work.
