29 CFR 1910.268(b)(7)(ii): The employer did not ensure that no employee approaches or takes any conductive object closer to any electrically energized overhead power lines and parts than prescribed in Table R-2, unless the energized parts are insulated or guarded from the employee and any other conductive object at a different potential. a) Site, 2 Club Circle, Ellenwood, GA 30294; on or about August 2, 2022, outside field technicians (OPT) installing aerial fiber optic cables on electrical poles were exposed to electrical shock and burn hazards, in that the employer did not ensure that no employee takes conductive parts of vehicle-mounted elevating and rotating work platforms closer to electrically energized overhead power lines than prescribed in Table R-2 of this section, unless the energized parts are insulated or guarded to prevent accidental contact with the energized lines.
