29 CFR 1910.1000(e):Feasible administrative or engineering controls were not determined and implemented to achieve compliance with the limits prescribed in 29 CFR 1910.1000(a) through (d): Tunnel: On or about June 29, 2022 a gasoline powered Karcher pressure washer (SN: 15752050-100226) was used in a poorly ventilated area for pressure washing activities. An employee was exposed to carbon monoxide at an 8-hour TWA of 275ppm, approximately 5.5 times the permissible exposure limit of 50ppm. The carbon monoxide level was derived from post-mortem carboxyhemoglobin levels. Note: Abatement certification and documentation is required for this item.
