29 CFR 1926.652(g)(1)(iii): Employees were not protected from the hazard of cave-ins when entering or exiting the area protected by shields: a) On June 30, 2022, the employer failed to protect employees from cave-in hazards while entering and exiting areas protected by shields. A. Lamp Concrete Contractors was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.652(g)(1)(iii) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1316534, citation 1, item 1c, and was affirmed final order on September 6, 2018, with respect to a workplace located at Il Rte 171 and Strieby Dr, Melrose Park, IL 60160. No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.
