29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. Note: Personal protective equipment requirements are contained in subpart I of this part. During the week of May 23, 2022, at an establishment located at N1344 County Road W, in Fremont, Wisconsin; the employer did not ensure the grain handling employee(s) and maintenance employee(s) were utilizing appropriate protective equipment to protect from electrical hazards when changing blown fuses. Employee(s) used a voltage meter to troubleshoot and were not provided with a fire resistant long sleeve shirt.
