Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 001B Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employees did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control: (a) Century Building, B007 Mechanical Room - Employees who did servicing and maintenance work, to include removing and replacing water piping for both domestic water heaters 1 and 2, did not receive lockout/tagout training for authorized employees, to include identify all energy sources, verifying isolation of all energy sources, and group lockout/tagout, exposing employees to hazards, such as getting struck-by hot water, on or about February 21, 2022. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
