29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employers did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about is introduced into their work area: Location: 100 Military Ocean Terminal Street Bayonne, NJ 07002 - Shipyard paint cage a) Employees were exposed to fire hazards while conducting spray painting and paint thinner mixing procedures without adequate training on the hazards of mixing solvents with various flashpoints between 73.4 �F and 140 �F, while in close proximity to a live DeWalt 140,000 BTU Forced Air Kerosene Diesel Construction Heater. During the operation, the heater igniting flammable liquids/vapors resulting in a flash fire and employees sustaining second and third degree burn injuries. Condition noted on or about 12/27/2021.
