29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1):Protective eye equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: a) DECA Commissary (1180 Amphibious Drive, VA 23459): On or about 06/25/2021, employees were assigned to prepare a bleach spray for disinfection of equipment for customer use. Bleach preparation required employees to dilute concentrated bleach and pour the dilution into spray bottles. The bleach preparation process was performed in the chemical sink by the warehouse. Employees were not required to and generally did not wear eye protection while performing the bleach dilution and pouring tasks. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
