29 CFR 1910.272(f)(1): The employer did not issue a permit for all hot work: a) North elevator leg: On May 19, 2021 and at times prior thereto; employees performed welding activities in and around the grain storage and handling facility as needed. Hot work permits were not completed to assure and certify the requirements contained in CFR 1910.252(a) had been implemented prior to beginning hot work operations. Note) Certification and documentation of corrective action are required for this item.
