29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1):The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)(a)(LOCATION)(IDENTIFY SPECIFIC OPERATION(S) AND/OR CONDITIONS)(DESCRIBE HAZARD(S) WHERE NECESSARY) a) 10 Coleman Rd. Garrison, NY- On or about December 7, 2020 , a workplace hazard assessment was not conducted for an employee who was servicing a home heating system (oil burner furnace) when attempting to ignite the system when a puffback occurred. The employee received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to the face, hands and head resulting in an in-patient hospitalization.
