29 CFR 1910.1030(c)(1)(iv): The Exposure Control Plan was not reviewed and/or updated annually: (a) Lafayette Leasing, LLC, 225 Waneka Parkway, Lafayette, CO 80026: On and preceding 02/04/2021, the employer did not ensure that the Exposure Control Plan was reviewed and/or updated annually. Employees assisted residents with administration of insulin using an insulin pen, and assisted residents with blood sugar testing using lancets. Employees disposed contaminated sharps. Employees performed tasks, including housekeeping and responding to spills of blood or Other Potentially Infectious Materials (OPIM). The employer had not reviewed and/or updated the Exposure Control Plan annually. This condition exposed employees to a bloodborne pathogens hazard. (b) Lafayette Leasing LLC DBA The Legacy at Lafayette, 225 Waneka Parkway, Lafayette, CO 80026: On and preceding 02/04/2021, the employer did not ensure that the Exposure Control Plan documented annual consideration and implementation of safer medical devices. Employees assisted residents with administration of insulin using an insulin pen, and assisted residents with blood sugar testing using lancets. Employees disposed contaminated sharps.
