29 CFR 1910.140(c)(6): (6) A competent person or qualified person must inspect each knot in a lanyard or vertical lifeline to ensure that it meets the requirements of paragraphs (c)(4) and (c)(5) before any employee uses the lanyard or lifeline. (a) On or about January 26, 2021, the employer did not ensure that a competent or qualified person inspected the lanyards, such as but not limited to; Maynard II (green shock absorbing), Titan Miller by Honeywell (yellow shock absorbing), Falltech (blue shock absorbing), Buckingham Mfg. Model 1169804/001 (black retractable with green on new Raymond pickers) before they were used.
