29 CFR 1910.134(e)(1): The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace: Alden Valley Ridge Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Memory Care/Dementia Unit on the third floor: On April 15, 2020 through May 31, 2020, the employer did not provide medical evaluations to determine employees ability to use a respirator before employees were fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace. Employees were required to wear a 3M 1870 N95 Health Care Particulate Respirator and Surgical Mask during the performance of tasks such as feeding, bathing, maintaining continence, inserting and maintaining IVs, conducting assessments, performing skin treatments and other close patient interactions with residents who had been identified as having contracted COVID-19.
