29 CFR 1910.134(f)(2): The employer shall ensure that an employee using a tight-fitting facepiece respirator is fit tested prior to initial use of the respirator, whenever a different respirator facepiece (size, style, model or make) is used, and at least annually thereafter. a) VA New Jersey Healthcare System, 151 Knollcroft Rd, Lyons, NJ: Community Living Center, housekeeping department: The agency failed to fit test employees prior to the required use of N95 respirators. The agency required housekeeping employees to wear N95 respirators while collecting trash and soiled linen and cleaning and disinfecting rooms of residents/patients with suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19. Violation occurred on or about 04/9/2020 and thereafter.
